A local clinker cement processing company needed to reduce the dust created from the original feed system. The problematic area is a tunnel located under a huge hopper and maintenance personnel were avoiding work in there due to the excess of dust.

Originally, product is discharged directly onto a belt conveyor via chutes. Vibroflow was asked to redesign the feed system to suppress dust discharge.


Vibroflow designed a compact sub resonant tuned vibratory feeder with removable covers to assist dust suppression. The compact design provided issues as the required capacity is quite high. Vibroflow had to design a unit that would run fast enough to provide the required capacities yet slow enough to keep dust out of the atmosphere.
