Two chemical dryers in an Ammonium Nitrate processing facility were in need of a feeding system that would protrude well into the dryer body. The feeders needed to be made of stainless steel to avoid corrosion and product contamination and needed a sealing arrangement.


Vibroflow supplied a directly driven vibratory feeder for this application. The trough of this unit was made of Duplex 2205 stainless steel to ensure high corrosion resistance and strength.

The end of the trough protrudes far past the final support leg of the unit so that material is well inside the dryer before it is discharged. Oscillating mounts help support this large overhang and transmit less vibration to the supporting structure.

The covers attached to this unit are hinged with rubber buffers either side which would prevent an operator from hurting their hands if a cover fell.
