Application
An engineering company had an need to screen out oversize particles from a granite processing facility. They had limited space but needed to remove any over 50mm particles.
Solution
Vibroflow offered a double deck vibratory screen for this application.
A key part of this design was the two different top decks. In order to protect the bottom deck from the impact and abrasion associated with the granite, a smaller aperture mesh was installed on the first half of the vibratory screen. This ensured that less material would pass through from the top deck and prematurely wear the bottom deck. A second deck, with a larger aperture, was installed on the second half of the unit. Any residual material would pass through this mesh and reduce the wear on the impact part of the bottom deck screen. This alternative design significantly increased the operating life of the fine bottom deck mesh.
