Application
In the ammonium nitrate process, the product needs to be dried to a certain level before it can continue. Two 3m diameter dryers were used by the client to achieve this. The first one was fed by the pre dryer feeder and the client needed a unit to fit in between the two dryers to receive partly dry material from the first unit and then feed into the second.
Solution
The unit supplied by Vibroflow was a 3.5m direct drive unit. A special receiving chute was integrated onto the feed end of the unit that was specially designed to receive material from the dryer.
Special hinged covers were installed on this unit that would allow easy inspection and be safe to life and operate.
The design of this unit was a challenge as there was limited space for the location of the supports due to the proximity of the two dryers. This was overcome by installing two oscillating mounts on the rear and a single unit on the front.
