Screen Feed Feeder

Application

A client had a 10m gap to pass material over and feed into a vibratory screen. The product was ammonium nitrate so hygiene and corrosion protection were requirements. The client also intends to use a spray system to automatically clean the trough surface.

Solution

Vibroflow supplied a vibratory feeder for this application that would convey the material the required distance.

In order to make a unit of this length, the sub resonant drive system had to be used. This suited the client as this allowed the unit to be supported from underneath and reduced the need to build a support frame.

The trough was made from 2205 Duplex stainless steel for corrosion resistance and strength. Counter mass was made from mild steel I beam sections.

Similar to the over jobs related to J181, the hinged covers installed on this unit have a safety rubber lined along the sides so that if dropped, it will not hurt the operators hand.

This unit operates at a slight 2 degree incline so that when the washout system is used, all residue water washes away to the back of the unit and is discharged.
