Application
A portable pilot plant that recycled tyres needed cooling equipment that would reduce the temperature of shredded rubber from 100 degrees to 50 degrees. Horizontal space was limited as the whole plant had to fit within a container size area.
Solution
A spiral elevator was offered that has a small footprint but large cooling area. This unit would receive material in it’s bottom pan and elevate approximately a meter high and then discharge via chute for further processing.
Usually holes are drilled in the center tube to allow air to be passed over the material however this wasn’t necessary due to the small capacity requirements in this application.
